Scholarship Program Miami
Education foundation Detroit

Newell took a slightly different route to the world of non-profits. After graduating from Ole Miss, she enjoyed a successful sales and marketing career in the fashion and retail industries, but always knew she wanted more.

She had a desire to do charitable work, and after connecting with Shane and Heidi in Memphis, her personality, experience and drive made her a perfect fit to run the daily operations when Take Charge was established.

In her position as Executive Director, Newell administers the scholarship program, coordinates all fundraising efforts, and continually works to expand the reach and offerings of Take Charge. She keeps the Foundation moving forward on a daily basis.

In addition to her role with Take Charge, Newell enjoys traveling with friends, honing her culinary skills, and visiting family from Memphis to Montgomery.
